Beamont did a great job in tracking down the part and was very timely in getting a crane to set on the roof and get installed. In fact, we completed the Middle School walkthroughs on January 13 and were impressed with the results. Approved an advance of $10,100 to High School Athletic Fund, 300-9500 from GF. We had a successful McTeacher night this month. Approved a one-year contract for Michelle Wright as Bus Driver for the 2013-2014 school year pending proper bus certification. This year's upgrade will include the lot on the West side of the high school. Kathy has been an integral part of the district and friend of the middle school students for 46 years. We have been able to get into every classroom in the district and we have been seeing our teachers and students doing some great things. Approved Sydney Ranzau as volunteer spring track coach for the 2018-19 school year. Approved Dr. Stanley Rowan as an approved Bus Physical provider to administer and sign bus physical form T-8 for Archbold Area Schools bus drivers for the 2014-2015 school year effective June 20, 2014. Whether it was building projects, communicating with the public, upcoming legislation or others, I think it was a worthwhile experience. Our initial ideas are to continue offering and expand our after-school programs, nursing services, counseling programs, a social and emotional learning curriculum, positive behavior intervention training, and school safety and security. This past week we uploaded the current credits into the system with the hope that they will be verified and available for sale at the end of the month. Our Fall athletic teams and other extra-curricular activities have all been working extremely hard and their successes are evident in game day performances. On April 10, I was able to take a bus tour of two local manufacturers: Archbold Container and Sauder Manufacturing. Parents received this information through Facebook and One Call now. The only issue could be that when it is released in September it does not give a lot of time to implement. Approved a letter of support to the Village Administrator from the Board of Education acknowledging the Community Reinvestment Area (CRA) Tax abatement arranged between the Village of Archbold and Discount Drug Mart. Although the Fair School Funding Plan has been beneficial in providing a more consistent mechanism for receiving and forecasting school finance, it is incredibly disheartening to know that under the new plan 580 districts have a local capacity per pupil that is higher in FY23 compared to FY22. The district is grateful to have the expertise of Mike Rosebrook and look forward to three more years of top-notch care. Adopted temporary appropriations at 75% FY17 budget amount. We are currently finalizing the results of a district-wide survey collecting feedback and two calendar options for the 2022-23 School year. IXL - Archbold Area Schools Accepted the Superintendents recommendation to approve contracts for the following certified and classified employees for the 2016-2017 school year. The Village of Archbold is seeking approval from the Board of Education for a CRA with Sherwood State Bank for the project that will be located on the former site of the Pop Shop. According to the new Ohio Law on Days to Hours, and our negotiated agreement, I have supplied you with our 2015-2016 calendar.
